2019 GAHA league rescheduled.
The executive body of the Greater Accra Hockey Association after consultation with its various stakeholders has delayed the start of the new hockey season.
The Greater Accra hockey league which serves as the main National League with its winners representing the country at the Africa Cup for Club Champions has been delayed for another thirty days. The league which was scheduled to start on 13th April, 2019 has now been moved to 11th May, 2019.
This decision was taken by the associations ruling body after numerous consultations with stakeholders and also team managers. The league’s curtain raiser (the annual GAHA gala) was scheduled for this weekend, April 6th but that has also been moved to April, 27th 2019.
However, the normal pre-league season procedures continues that is registration of players and various training sessions of all teams. Team managers are therefore to ensure that players and team officials fill the isports360 KYPT google forms and also take the pictures as this will be key in 2019 GAHA league player registration.
Teams are also expected to submit their entry list before 9th May, 2019. Player registration will still be opened throughout the season for teams who fail to occupy all slots for players.
