WEEK 5 GAHA LEAGUE TABLES ARE AS FF’s

YOUTH DIVISION

Ambassadors are 1st with 12 points out of 4 matches played and have 9 goals

Young Financiers are 2nd with now with 7 points out of 4 matches and have 3 goals

Tema Manhean are 3rd with 4 points out of 3 matches and -2 goals

Tema Youth are 4th with 3 points out of 3 matches and -3 goals

Ark boys are 5th with NO points out of 4 matches and 7 goals

Real Ambassadors have automatically won the the league making them the first team to win in this year’s tournament. They won all 4 games and scored the highest number of goals in this year’s youth league. Team Manhean and Team Youth have this week to change the league table, thus should Tema Manhean win their last match with more goals than Young Financiers, the league table would change from (2nd- 3rd/ 3rd-2nd). A draw game for Tema Manhean would not affect the league table’s standing but a loose would move Tema Youth to 3rd place of the league table.

 

WOMEN’S DIVISION

Reformers are 1st with 13 points out of 5 matches played and 18 goals

GRA (CUSTOMS service ) are 2nd with 12 points out of 4 matches played and 20 goals

Police are 3rd with 10 points out of 4 matches played and 31 goals

Extinguishers (FIRE service) are 4th with 6 points out of 4 matches and 6 goals

Real Ambassadors Ladies are 5th with 3 points out of 4 matches played n -31goals

Ark ladies are 6th with NO points out of 4 matches and -16 goals

Amazing Grace ladies who couldn’t raise a team to play GRA last weekend (06/08/2016) are 7th with NO points out of 5 matches played and -30 goals.

This weekend the Reformers and GRA (Customs) come face to face. A win for Reformers, which is deemed to be their final match determines their fate to the African Club Championships. GRA (Customs), on the other hand, would have to win all two matches left , thus by beating Reformers and Police, in other to make it to the Championship. Last year winners, Police Ladies, would also want to continue with their winning spree and are putting measures in place to steer all wins to their side.

The match and Reformers and GRA is a must watch game and it kick starts at 1300hrs prompt.

 

 

MEN’S DIVISION LEAGUE TABLE

Trustees(SSNIT) are 1st with 12 points out of 4 games played and 22 goals

Police are 2nd with 12 points out of 4 games played and 12 goals

GRA(Customs) are 3rd with 10 points out of 5 games played and 14 goals

Exchquers(Bank of Ghana) are 4th with 7 points out of 4 matches and 6 goals

Legon Knights n Ark Men are both 5th with a point each out of 4 and 5 matches played respectively and -20 each

Reformers are 7th with NO points out of 4 games played and -15 goals

In this week (week 6) another must watch match at 1600hrs is between  GRA, who drew and placed  3rd placed last week, and Police (2nd placed) who were sipping tea last weekend preparing for the coming week. Another hockey fire for fire continues as two of the trusted company’s hockey teams come face to face with each other. Exchequers- 4th placed Vrs Trustees- 1st placed this weekend is going to be an “Oh my God” affair. Come and witness how men play hockey like never before.

Let’s come and witness 2016 GAHA League, one Round matches, of Week 6, 13/08/16 as WE SEPARATE THE boys FROM THE REAL MEN.

 

MASTERS LEAGUE TABLE

Multi-stix are 1st with 10 points out of 4 games played and 7 goals

NDK Financiers are 2nd with 6 points out of 4 matches played respectively and 4 goals

Sapholda is 3rd with 6 points out of 2 matches played respectively and 4 goals

Golden sticks (Commercial Bank) are 4th with 4 points out of 3 matches played and no goal

Citizens are 5th with NO points out of 2 matches and -4 goals

Veterans are 6th with NO points out of 3 matches played n -9 goals

We wish our brothers  fathers in South Africa partaking in the MASTERs GAMES

All the best n a safe flight back home as they are lefting up the Ghana flag high in SA.

    It would be nice to have some highlights or link to highlights from YouTube … Kudos for being first hockey bloggers in Ghana.

      These are part of the plans we have but challenges in terms of funds are hindering us. We need sponsors and support to carry out some of these things.
