Female Blacksticks move up in FIH ranking.

The female Blacksticks of Ghana, after a successful journey duringthe World Hockey League R1 held in Accra, Ghana , have made impacts on their ranking globally.

The team, who won all matches in the just ended World Hockey League R1,  performed amazingly with great score line putting the team in a good shape. This splendid performance arched the team to higher heights as they’ve now moved from 31st, as at June 2016,  to 28th, as at October 2016, on the Federation of International Hockey word rankings.

South Africa’s Women are world’s and Africa’s 13th and 1st according to FIH ranking respectively . Ghana follows as 28th and 2nd in World and Africa’s ranking according to FIH ranking.

Ghana’s female hockey team will be traveling to Valencia, Spain to continue their quest for supremacy in World Hockey League R2. This round is scheduled to take place from the 4th – 12th of February 2017
