GAHA LADIES: GRA SET SAIL TO TITLE

2016 winners, Team GRA on Friday, April 29, 2017 came up against Team Reformers in the ongoing Greater Accra Hockey Association League. The week 2 fixture which feature two of the leagues strongest teams, saw Team GRA outperform Team Reformers. The team annihilated Team Reformers by 0-4 after 70 minutes of thrilling hockey.

On Saturday, April 30, 2017, an experience Police side gave Ark Ladies a run for their money with a 7-0 win. The results is an improvement of last year’s clash where Ark Ladies lost by 11 goals to nil, a relevant indicator of the fact that the team is picking up.

The second match day was played between Extinguisher (fire) and Real Ambassador.

At the end of the full 70 minutes the female national team captain and club captain Rachael Bamfo and her team mates had six (6) goals to their credit.
Speaking to Hagiet Copson (Captain, Real Ambassadors) she was very enthused with her team’s performers. She said
“I am very happy with the performance of my team mates, the story would have been better if we had taken our chances. With this performance, am very optimistic we will surprise the hockey fraternity soon”.
