Ghana falls to Netherlands
Ghana’s Masters team recorded their third defeat at the Masters invitational tournament after they were pinned by host nation, Netherlands by 7 goals to nil.
Ghana lost to Spain by 8 goals to 1 as they played with only 9 players in their first game. Alfred Armah created the first impression in the 15th minute in the second game but was short-lived as Scotland quickly recovered to win the game by 5 goals to 2.
In their third game, as played today, Dutch captain – Maas Anton gave his side the upper hand in the 30th min to end the second quarter as Ghana played impressively in the first two quarters. The Netherlands overshadowed the defence of Ghana scoring in the 41, 46, 48, 52 and 54th minute in third quarter to increase the deficit to 6.
Burning Diederick finally sealed victory for the Dutchs in the 62nd to end the 7 nil thriller.
