Ghana Hockey elects new executives
The fate of Ghana Hockey for the next four years would be decided tomorrow, 7th July 2018, at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Conference room as 17 delegates decide the new executives for the next administration. This election is expected to be a wake of a new dawn for Ghana hockey as the hockey populace would intrigue the coming administration to do more than their predecessors.
During the Congress at 10 am, 2 delegates with 1 voting member from the association across the country and 7 other sports administrations would be present to cast their votes for the President, Vice President, Treasurer and Two Ordinary Executive Member positions.
Mr. Godfred J. Amo, who was once the chairman for Ashanti Hockey Association for 8 years and the current Vice President of Ghana Hockey would stand along with Dr. K.D Asante, who now serves as an executive member of Ghana’s Hockey Association for the presidential slot.
Africa Hockey Federation – Treasurer, Madam Elizabeth King would also go head-to-head with Mr. Kwame Owusu who serves as an ordinary executive member of the association for the position of the vice president.
Albert Ofori goes unopposed after the disqualification of Samuel Ofosu who couldn’t meet the requirement for the position of the Treasurer.
Two ordinary executive members for the association are set as Franti-Oti Mensah and Grace Ankomah also go unopposed for the position.
