The customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority, last Saturday 22nd July beat Reformers by 7 goals to 2 in the ongoing Sapholda Hockey League. G.R.A were daunted to win the game at all cost to seal their lead on the league table. The game was dominated by G.R.A throughout the 70 minutes. G.R.A who by all odds are proven to be a better side were aided by their high conversion rate of penalty corners. Reformers on the other hand are still suffering under the suspension of 5 of their players who are driving forces of the team. They attributed the drastic loss to the absence of these players in the game. G.R.A’s attacker, Nick Hanson registered a Ha-Trick and a goal each from Charles Moses, Asirifie Prince and Aikins Anthony. Emmanuel Lamptey of Reformers was quick to cancel two. Ghana Revenue Authority are the only unbeaten team in the men’s division.

Exchequers and Trustees in the match of the day encounter, played each other in a very daring game. Bank of Ghana’s fame, Exchequers were quick to take the lead from a screamer scored by Selorm Kemevor. They played with much tactical discipline when in the lead but Trustees’ Tetteh Lartey Francis with much brilliance was able to maneuver the stern defense of Exchequers to assist Afari Sqmuel in an equalizer. A barren second half kept the score at par throughout ending 1-1. Trustees and Exchequers lie in the 2nd and 3rd spots of the table with 19 and 18 points respectively.

Ghana Police in the Last game of the Week 3 matches, managed to pull out 7 goals as against a lone goal from Jorge Klu. Benedict Sam maximized the conversion of most of the penalty corners. He scored four goals while Godsway Balagi, Richard Adjei and Richard Akwei scored one each. Police remains 4th with 14 points while Ark Men are 6th with 3 points.
