GRA receives 100 new jerseys from GRAWU

Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) Sports teams, yesterday, presented 7 trophies to the management of their Authority at the Theodosia Okoh Pitch conference room with the aim of receiving more support. The move was to set the standard high for the teams as they aspire to win 26 out the 30 trophies that would run throughout the year.

During the event, Ghana Revenue Authority Workers Union (GRAWU) Chairman, Mr. Maxwell Osei Gyamerah, acknowledged the zealous efforts of the sports men and women presenting 100 jerseys to GRA Hockey team for winning the 2017 Sapholda Hockey League (Male and Female) and T-Tommy Hockey Tournament (Male) with the female team placing 1st Runner up. He noted that the aim of the union is to seek the well-being of its members, build mutual understanding with management and finally raise the name of GRA on every ground. He also added that they ever ready to put in extra support to all disciplines that raise the name of GRA in every event they partake.

Deputy Commissioner of Human Resource of GRA, Mr Augustine Adieu Sefah, upon receipt of the jerseys, congratulated the efforts GRAWU after pulling such a wonderful gesture to support the gallant sports men and women of GRA. He noted that this would will go a long way to increase the appetite for more glory during national and international tournament

Deputy Commissioner, Mr Joseph Esoku, and Mr Patrick Lamptey received all 7 (GRA Hockey 3, BasketBall 3 and Tennis 1) trophies on behalf of management congratulating the teams for making the Authority proud of their effort and encouraged them do more. He finally added that this effort of the sportsmen should be a morale booster to the sport fraternity and other civil and services that have sports teams.

GRA Hockey team finally presented a token of appreciation to GRAWU for their kind gesture to support the team. Mr Eddie Frimpong upon the presentation stated that this would go a long to boost the teams ability to do more in other events especially in December’s Africa Club Championship.
