Hockey West Africa 5s to climax TAP West Africa Program

Ghana takes stage to host the final edition of FIH Hockey Academy’s West Africa Target Accelerated Project (TAP) in Accra and Kumasi from 22-29 March, 2018. The event, which has seen much interest for the past four years, would see reps from West African Countries like Ghana, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Togo and Sierra Leone trained in both field and classroom sessions.

The program is expected to attract National team Coaches and clubs, school and community coaches from all the regions of the country as well as West African Countries.

Training courses for this year’s program includes Level 1 Officials Course, Level 1&2 Coaching Courses, Level 1&2 Umpiring Courses , National Elite Coaching Course, Team Managers Course and Umpiring Coaching Course.

The program is to be climaxed with the first edition of West Africa’s Hockey 5s held at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Pitch from the 24-27 March 2018.  This 5 aside hockey tournament would see boys and girls from Ghana, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Togo and Sierra Leone battle for gold.
