Netherlands paint Hockey World League Orange

Netherlands conquer London
The male hockey team of the Netherlands who defeated Rio 2016 Olympic gold medalist Argentina by 6-1 in the final, emerged winners of the World Hockey League Semi Final in London. The tournament which run from 15th June to 25th June produced spectacular performances from all teams. After 23 matches were played, 177 goals were scored in all matches. Winner of the tournaments best player and top scorer with 12 goals to his credit was Gonzalo Peillat of Argentina.
The England male hockey team came 3rd with Malaysia, Canada, India,Pakistan,China,Korea and Scotland picking the 4th , 5th ,6th , 7th , 8th , 9th and 10th place respectively .
Brussels painted Orange
The female hockey team of the Netherlands proved too strong for the likes of Spain, Belgium and Italy as they were crowned champions of the World Hockey League Semi Final in Brussels. The final match saw the Netherlands defeat their counterparts from China who proved a little tough beating them by 2 -0. Van Maasakker Caia from Netherlands notched up seven (7) goals to win the top scorer accolade with Chinas skipper Cui Qiuxia taking home the most valuable player award.
Thus guaranteeing an automatic qualification to the final in India later this year. They were joined by China, and New Zealand while Korea, Australia, Italy and Spain took the 4th , 5th , 6th and 7th place respectively. Belgium came 8th with Scotland 9th and Malaysia rounding up with 10th .
