Sapholda and GAHA agrees sponsorship deal.

Sapholda ventures yesterday announced the details of the sponsorship package for the 2018 hockey league at a press conference organised by the Greater Accra Hockey Association (GAHA).

The presser which was held at the conference room of the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium had in attendance reps from the media as well as Sapholda Ventures and GAHA. The deal worth GHS 30,000 will cover both the gala and league in terms of expenses and prize money. The details include GHS 3,000 as net prize money for the men, women and juvenile category, another GHS 3,000 for the development of youth clubs and part of the money also go into running of the league pertaining to match officials, groundsmen, fueling plant etc.

Speaking during the presser, Mr. Ato Coleman who is the marketing advisor of Sapholda ventures spoke on behalf of the CEO, Mr. Adolf Tetteh Adjei who was not in attendance expressing their joy of being a part of the hockey fraternity. He labelled their partnership with the association as strong and long lasting. “we are doing this in line with our corporate social responsibility objective. We are happy to partner GAHA and looking forward in building a strong relationship with the hockey association”. he said.

The Vice President of GAHA, Mr Derrick Tamakloe thanked the management of Sapholda ventures for taking this initiative of sponsoring the league and gala. “Sapholda has been sponsoring the league for a while now and we are happy they are doing it again this year. We are happy for the role they are playing in the development and progress of the sport and hope to see more sponsors on board if not now, certainly one day”, he said.

He later touched on the taking over of the facility by the RSA. “we have resolved everything due to the intervention of the sports minister; reclaiming our office and items and can assure all hockey lovers that such incident is unlikey to happen again”, he said.
