The Africa Hockey Federation (AfHF) has revised it’s calender for 2020 and the early part of 2021. The activities of the Federation were halted earlier this year due to the deadly Covid-19.
The widespread of the virus brought the world to a standstill forcing numerous activities to be halted with Hockey no exception. However, the AfHF after numerous meetings with the various stakeholders, has decided to revise it’s 2020 calender which will end in the early part of 2021.
The indoor Africa Cup (men and women) will take place in September this year in Durban, South Africa with the annual Africa Cup for Club Champions taking place from November 30th – December 5th, 2020 in Malawi. The various qualifiers for the 2021 Cup of Nations will take place in 2021 – first, the North-East qualifiers slated for 18th – 24th January, 2021 in Kenya. The North-West Africa qualifiers in Ghana will then take place 15th – 21st February, 2021 with the Central-South Africa qualifiers slated for 19th – 27th February, 2020 taking place in Zimbabwe.
Finally, the Junior Africa Cup slated for 22nd – 28th March, 2021 to be staged in Ghana.
